  15. Consider this post a desperate plea for help. I'll outline as clear
  16. as possible, and ask (beg) that someone can help me figure this out
  17. before I go insane. TIA

  19. Problem:
  20. When I render frames in LW 3.1 my system occasionally crashes. I get
  21. GURU # 81000005 and then task number such as:
  22.     011D4D30    01068BE0    0176FAF8
  23.     0113CD68    0173A428    011C1450
  24.     0104CD78    011C7BC8
  25.     011C7978    011373D0
  26.  
  27. A program I have defines the Guru # to mean "AN_MEM Corrupt. Corrupt
  28. Memory List Detected In FreeMEM()"
  29.  
  30. The bizarre part is I can't tell you exactly when this happens?? 
  31. Sometimes I will render about 20 frames then the crash, other times
  32. 2 frames then the crash. I have tried to re-render a frame it crashed
  33. on to see if it was something specific to the frame, but it will work
  34. if I render it again. I can not find a pattern, or find the exact
  35. operation that makes it crash.

  37. My Setup:
  38. Amiga 2000HD
  39. GVP 030/25Mhz with 9 megs of 32bit ram and SCSI controller
  40. A2091 board which has 2 megs of 16bit ram
  41. Toaster 1.0 card with 3.1 Software
  42. Syquest 88meg exterbal
  43. 350 meg internal scsi drive
  44. 50 meg internal scsi drive
  45. I am recording directly to Sanyo 950 (I am not saving frames to any
  46. drive)
  47. Kickstart 2.1 rom
  48. Workbenck 2.1

  50. What I have tried:
  51. I have run every memory check program I can find, and they all report
  52. no errors. 
  53. I have disabled the 2 megs of 16bit ram on a tip that might cause the
  54. problem.
  55. I have moved the memory chips around on my GVP board to see if the
  56. TASK number changes, it doesn't.
  57. Called Newtek support.
  58. Run a memory block program to disable the memory areas reported by
  59. the task numbers.
  60.  
  61. AND NOTHING STOPS THOSE VISITS FROM THE GURU!!!

  63. Well, if you have made it this far I thank you for at least letting
  64. me vent. If you have any ideas or guesses please let me know.
